About Andy Jenkins
The story behind the teaching
I teach about grace, freedom, and purpose because these truths have shaped my own life—through ministry, hard questions, rebuilding, and discovering what comes next.
Here’s a little of that story.
The road that brought me here
Where my story began
I grew up in church. Faith became part of my work, too—through church ministry, addiction recovery, and prison reentry programs.
I earned my Master of Divinity at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Teaching the Bible and walking alongside people through difficult seasons gave me plenty to learn—and plenty to reconsider.
Then I walked through one of the hardest seasons of my own life. Just when I thought things might get better, they got worse.
I began working from home so I could focus more on my family. That change opened an unexpected door into business, teaching, and new ways to share what I was learning.
An unexpected path back to teaching
While working from home, I began leading business workshops to help our team members grow. Along the way, I learned about publishing books, creating courses, building websites, and recording podcasts.
I enjoyed equipping people. And those new skills opened a possibility: I could use these same tools to share the message that kept stirring in me.
I began returning to the themes that had shaped my ministry and my own rebuilding—God’s grace, freedom from what holds us back, and the purpose He places within each of us.
Those became the foundation of what I teach today.
A message worth sharing
Grace, freedom, and purpose became more than topics to study. They connected what I’d learned in ministry with the questions I was working through in my own life.
I began co-hosting Advance events for men, helping guys move forward from where they were toward who they were created to be.
I also picked up a simple microphone and started a podcast. Books and online courses followed, along with opportunities to help others share their own ideas.
The message kept finding new expressions—and new people to serve.
What experience has taught me
My work has brought me alongside people in churches, recovery programs, prison reentry, and organizations serving veterans, service members, and first responders.
I’ve co-written books on military-related trauma, taught courses and workshops, and worked with people one-on-one.
Across those settings, I’ve seen how deeply our beliefs, past experiences, and sense of purpose affect everyday life. I’ve also kept learning through my own questions and setbacks.
That experience shapes my approach today: honest conversations, faith rooted in grace, and practical steps people can bring into their own lives.
Why I keep sharing this message
I believe God’s grace does more than forgive our past. It gives us strength for today and hope for what comes next.
The difficult parts of our stories can become places of understanding and compassion—ways we’re able to walk alongside someone else.
That’s why I keep teaching, writing, podcasting, and coaching. I want to help people see the possibilities still ahead of them and take their next step with purpose.
The life behind the work
This is my wife, Beth. Our family is a big part of my story—and why this work matters to me.
We’ve experienced seasons of rebuilding and more blessings than we can count. We’re still learning, growing, and discovering what comes next.
When I talk about grace, freedom, and purpose, I’m sharing truths we continue to live out in our own home and relationships.
We’re thankful you’re here.
